Tungsten T, T2 & T3 Take Apart

Tungsten T, T2 & T3 Repair Guide

You Will Need The Following Tools
Small Phillips Screw Driver
Small Paper Clip
Step 1 - These directions will only work for the Tungsten-T, T2 & T3 unit. You will need a couple of tools for this take apart. Please read the directions before doing this take apart. Sorry we do not offer any assistance in this repair.

 Use a Small Phillips Screw Driver and remove the 2 screws on the Back/Top of the unit 

Step 2 - On both sides of the unit there are 2 screws that need to be removed. 
Step 3 - Extend the panel on the Tungsten and use a small paper clip in the two holes. There is a lever in each hole that will release the panel. DO NOT slide the panel all the way off there is a cable still attached under it. 
Step 4 - Now you will slide the panel down a little further until you see the cable. Pull the cable up from the connector.
Step 5 - This shows the cable after it has been lifted from the connector. You can now slide the panel down and you will lift the cable up/off. The cable is glued to the back of the unit with a rubber glue. Just pull it up slowly.
Step 6 - This shows the panel after it has been removed from the unit.
Now remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit.
Step 7 - On the otherside of the unit is a silver metal plate that the screws go into (refer to next Step.  This picture shows the silver metal plate on the front of the unit that the screws went into. You will now remove the battery. The small connector that is located in the middle of the unit. Just pull the connector up.
Step 8 - Now that the battery wire is disconnected you are able to remove the back cover from the unit.
 Step 9 - Now you can see the unit with the back cover taken off.
Step 10 - You will now lift up and off the ribbon cable that goes from the screen to the motherboard. 
Step 11 - Now that the ribbon is removed you can take the motherboard out of the unit.
Step 12 - This shows the motherboard removed from the unit. 
Step 13 - You can lift the screen up and out of the unit.  This is the picture of the screen after it has been removed from the unit.

Now to put the unit back together please follow the directions in reverse.
